A Small Business with a Native Touch
Joseph and Laralyn Riverwind are the owners of Native Touch, a new business in Murphy that features a gallery of Native American arts and crafts, and the Herbal Body Care line of products. Native Touch also sponsors workshops in Cherokee herbal medicine, drum circles, and storytelling.
The Tri-County Community College Small Business Center assisted the Riverwinds with the legal aspects of business start-up. “The free attorney and accountant consult was very helpful,” according to Joseph Riverwind.
“The business classes have helped us so much,” according to Laralyn Riverwind. “I recommend that others take advantage of free classes offered by Tri-County’s Small Business Center. We have taken classes about natural products and marketing strategies for the herbal body product line. The TCCC instructors are wonderful resources.” |
