Tri-County Community College is offering 13 new job training programs that can be completed in six months or less.
These programs each feature a series of courses that will lead to a job-skills credential and the NC Career Readiness Certification. Some programs also include additional certifications and college credit.
The JobsNOW training programs are geared to the local economy and focus on programs that show positive employment trends in Cherokee, Clay and Graham counties.
Gov. Beverly Perdue established JobsNOW to help train North Carolinians in needed job skills and help rebuild the state’s economy. Funding for this initiative is supported by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the Department of Commerce, Division of Workforce Development and the local Workforce Development Board.
JobsNOW programs cost the same as regular classes at TCCC. For the unemployed and underemployed, tuition assistance may be available through the Tri-County JobLink Career Center.
Please call the JobsNOW Coordinator at 828-835-9564, ext. 200 for more information on the JobsNOW programs.
