Information for Online Students
Online courses are presented on Moodle, a website where students interact with instructors, review course materials, submit assignments, participate in forums, take exams and check grades, all from any location with Internet access.
All students have guest access to an online Using Moodle for Students orientation course. Log in to learn how to navigate online courses.
MOODLE LOGIN:
Username: first 4 letters of your last name followed by the last 4 digits of your student ID number.
EXAMPLE: stud467
Your ID number can be found on your schedule printout or at the top of your student ID card. (Note:If your last name contains less than 4 letters, your username will be your complete last name followed by the last 4 digits of your student ID number.)
Password: changeme
Moodle requires you to change your password, and will provide a form for you to do so upon your first login. New password must be at least 8 characters long, and can contain any combination of letters, numbers, or symbols.

STUDENT E-MAIL ACCOUNT:
Course information, financial aid and other TCCC correspondence will be communicated via your student email. Student email is web-based. This means that you do not need to install or configure anything on your computer.
To access your email, go to http://webmail.tricountycc.edu
Login using your TC Username: first 4 letters of your last name followed by the last 4 digits of your student ID number. EXAMPLE: stud467
Password: changeme
You should change this password when you login the first time..
Your email address = your Moodle username followed by @webmail.tricountycc.edu
EXAMPLE: stud4567@webmail.tricountycc.edu
Note Concerning Computer Access:
If you have problems with your personal computer that prevent you from being able to access Moodle, it is important to find alternate access.
Some possibilities for alternative computer access:
• Student Computer Support lab - McSwain building
TCCC Library
• Harper Student Lounge
• Public libraries
