The Tri-County Community College (TCCC) Foundation will host its 8th Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 14, at The Ridges Country Club in Hayesville.

“The annual golf tournament is one of the Foundation’s most popular and well-attended events,” said Dotie Stafford-Ortega, chair of TCCC’s event committee. “We love seeing our participants come back year after year to compete and support this event. In the past, we’ve had nearly 30 teams compete, including several out-of-state residents.”

This year’s tournament will feature a three-person team format. The best-ball, shotgun-start tournament will also include more than $3,800 in prizes for participants to claim.

The registration fee is set at $100 per person, which includes greens fees and a cart on the day of the tournament. Golfers will tee off at 9 a.m. after a complimentary breakfast buffet.

“This event is open to the public, so golfers are invited to form their own teams and enjoy friendly competition with other groups,” Stafford-Ortega said.

There is a limit to the number of teams that can participate in this tournament, and with space filling up quickly, participants are strongly encouraged to pre-register.

“All proceeds from the golf tournament support the TCCC Foundation’s Student Enrichment Fund, which supports college and community-based events and projects,” Stafford-Ortega said.
