As the school year winds down for local students, Tri-County Community College is preparing for its annual Kids College at both the main campus in Peachtree and the Graham County Center in Robbinsville.

“We offer a diverse range of camps for all ages from first through 12th graders,” said Lisa Long, director of community outreach at Tri-County Community College.

The series of week-long camps begins in mid-June and will continue through August. The variety of camp topics include robotics, the 2017 solar eclipse, creative writing, video game design, sports week, Harry Potter, and more.

“Kids College gives students a designated space to engage in fun and educational subjects,” Long said.

For $50, students can enroll in the camp of their choosing. The solar eclipse camps tuition is $70 per student. Some camps may have an additional supply fee.

“Seating for these courses is limited, so we encourage parents and students to register as soon as possible,” Long said. “All camps are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.”
