Registration for the 2015 Fall Semester continues at Tri-County Community College (TCCC) in Murphy and Robbinsville.

According to Bo Gray, Vice President for College and Community Initiatives students may register for classes in person, or online 24 hours a day using the WebAdvisor portal at advisor.tricountycc.edu.

“We understand that some students will be new to our campus and system of registration, so our support staff will be available to better serve their needs regarding programs of study, financial aid and testing,” Gray said. “We are also offering new student orientation a couple more times this summer to help with the transition and acclamation.”

He said “TCCC will continue registration now through August 21 to better serve the students. Fall term classes begin Monday, August 17.”

Kathy Temple, English Instructor for Tri-County Community College, will be teaching an online class in African American Literature for the first time this semester.

“I am really excited about this new online course,” said Temple. “Many of my colleagues have worked very hard to develop other new and exciting classes for their students in the upcoming academic year.”

Dr. Steve Wood, Vice President for Instruction and Institutional Effectiveness cited examples of the some of the new programs of study at TCCC.

“The College is very excited to offer a brand new Associate in Applied Science degree for Industrial Systems Technology and a number of new Business Administration concentrations in Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, and Marketing and Retail,” said Wood. “We are hoping to learn in the very near future about our application to offer an Associate in Engineering degree.

“As always, we are continually looking at new and old programs to ensure that we are providing the most current information, technology, and instruction for our students,” Wood said.

TCCC offers day, evening, online, hybrid, and fast track (eight-week) courses to make it easy for students to schedule classes around work and other responsibilities. Fast Track I courses begin on Monday, August 17, and Fast Track II courses begin October 13.

With more than 50 years of experience in education, Tri-County Community College will continue its mission to engage, inspire, and enrich student learning by providing quality education at an affordable price.
