Tri-County Community College’s Writing Center is currently open to assist students with any writing
assignment needs they may have.
According to Tiffany Goebel, TCCC English instructor, the Writing Center offers a wide variety of services for students.
“Our staff are available to assist with brainstorming, location appropriate sources for research papers, identifying and correcting errors, or how to organize an assignment,” Goebel said.
The Writing Center, located in McSwain Annex Room 150, offers face-to-face sessions in addition to online sessions, where students can either bring in or email their assignments for help.
For the Fall 2016 semester, TCCC’s Writing Center assisted 34 students during walk-in visits and 85 via emailed feedback for a total of 119 contacts, which is nearly 100 more than the previous three semesters combined.
“As midterms and final assignments begin to creep up, students should take advantage of the many resources TCCC has to offer, including the services of our Writing Center,” Goebel said.
