TCCC is seeking proposals from experienced and knowledgeable general contractors who are interested in providing design build services for the renovation and partial construction of an existing campus building. This structure will house the college’s Diesel Mechanics Program. This facility will provide approximately 3800-4000 square feet of classroom and open bay instructional space, bathrooms and new office space. Specifically, the intent is to create a tool room, 2 classrooms, a transmission shop, two bathrooms, two offices and an auto lift area. The exterior will be a combination of metal and brick. Design shall include connections to existing sewer, electrical, and campus data systems. The building shall be complete with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems. Building shall have concrete aprons on front and sides.

Project will require architectural stamped drawings detailing foundations, concrete, metal building, life safety, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. With proposal, interested contractors shall provide information on three similar projects completed in the Western NC area, along with contact information for the owners. Enclosed in bid, contractor must provide proof of bonding capacity. Contractors are required to hold a NC general construction license.
