Part-time Positions:

Welcome Center Specialist (Part-Time)

The Welcome Center Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors at the College. Duties will involve welcoming people onto campus, fielding incoming phone calls and directing them to the appropriate departments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly and helpful demeanor. The schedule will be 15-20 hours per week and may require some flexibility.

Adjunct Instructor Positions

History Instructor (Part-Time)

Master's Degree with 18 graduate hours in History required.

Machining Instructor (Part-Time)

Requirements include an Associate's Degree in Machining and/or equivalent related work experience. Prior teaching experience preferred.

Mechatronics/Industrial Engineering Instructor (Part-Time)

Requirements include an Associate's Degree in Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering and/or equivalent related work experience. Prior teaching experience preferred.

Engineering Instructor (Part-Time)

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required, Master's Degree preferred. Prior teaching experience preferred.

CDL Program Instructor (Part-Time)

Part-Time instructor needed to teach proper driving procedures, safety, and regulations for operating commercial vehicles.  Instruction includes truck maintenance, defensive driving, freight handling, security and fire protection.

  • High School or Equivalent, CDL – class A license, and a clean motor vehicle report for the past 5 years, required
  • 3 year’s experience
  • Road test and drug screening required

Flexible schedule – days, nights and weekends

Nurse Aide Instructor (Part-Time)

Part-Time instructor needed to facilitate Nurse Aide I and II, Geriatric Aide, Personal Home Care Aide, Medication Aide, and Home Health Aide classes.  Maintains clinical lab to Department of Facility Services and Board of Nursing Standards. 

Qualifications Required:

  • Current, unrestricted NC Registered Nurse License
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience teaching adults or supervision of Nurse Aides

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree
