Online courses are presented on Moodle, a website where students interact with instructors, review course materials, submit assignments, participate in forums, take exams and check grades, all from any location with Internet access.

Student Moodle Account

Username: first 4 letters of your last name followed by the last 4 digits of your student ID number.

EXAMPLE: stud4567

Initial password: For new Moodle users your initial password will be:  first 2 letters of your last name (with the 1st letter capitalized) and birthdate in 2 digit format

EXAMPLE: name: Susie Student  birthdate: January 1, 1998  Initial password will be  St010198


Your 7 digit student ID number can be found on your schedule printout or at the top of your student ID card.

Moodle requires you to change your password, and will provide a form for you to do so upon your first login. New password must be at least 8 characters long, and can contain any combination of letters, numbers, or symbols.

Online Student Moodle Orientation

An online Moodle course is available to help you learn to use Moodle and to navigate your online course.

  1. Watch the Logging into Moodle video below and then log in.  
  2. Choose ‘My Courses’ and then select the Student Orientation course



HINT:   You will be able to login to your Moodle courses on the first day of class.
