Online courses are presented on Moodle, a website where students interact with instructors, review course materials, submit assignments, participate in forums, take exams and check grades, all from any location with Internet access.
First time users will use the following to log in to Moodle:
Username: First 4 letters of your last name + last 4 digits of your student ID number
Password: First 2 letters of last name (with first letter capitalized) and your birth date in MMDDYY format
EXAMPLE: Jane Smith student ID:1234567 birthdate: January 1, 2001
Username: smit4567 Password: Sm010101
CREATE NEW PASSWORD: must be 8 or more characters, case sensitive
RETURNING STUDENTS: Password will be the same one you set the previous semester.
You may use the "Forgot Password" link on the Moodle log in page to reset your password if needed.
PLEASE NOTE: If you use the "Forgot Password" link to reset your MOODLE password, it will send the reset link to your Tri-County Community College student e-mail.
If your e-mail password has expired, please visit https://reset.tricountycc.edu/ to reset your password (this will also reset your Self-Service password)

Online Student Moodle Orientation
An online Moodle course is available to help you learn to use Moodle and to navigate your online course.
Your 7 digit student ID number can be found on your schedule printout or at the top of your student ID card.
Moodle requires you to change your password, and will provide a form for you to do so upon your first login. New password must be at least 8 characters long, and can contain any combination of letters, numbers, or symbols.
