Adult basic education classes offered

Tri-County Community College wants to bring GED® and family literacy class opportunities to your community!

These opportunities include the ability to work on needed skills to obtain a high school diploma or employment, skills necessary to assist children with their homework, and language skills to speak English in the workforce and communicate efficiently with community members and/or teachers.

Tri-County Community College can also offer classes anywhere in our service area of Cherokee, Clay, and Graham counties.

The College is currently working to build an English language learners program in Clay County and a High School Equivalency Diploma program in Graham County at the Snowbird Library. If you know of an area in our communities which would benefit from a program like this, please let us know.

For qualifying students under the age of 24, we have resources available to assist with paying for travel reimbursements, supplies, and fees associated with the GED® exam. For those that do not qualify, we have additional funds through the Race for Literacy campaign to assist with the GED® fees.

For additional information or a list of class times and locations, please call Angie Jaco at 835-4256 or Dotie Stafford-Ortega at 835-4208, or visit us online at
