On Tuesday, June 9, TCCC welcomed Holly Jones, Director of the Governor's Western North Carolina Office, to tour its workforce housing project in Andrews and see the progress firsthand. Made possible through a gift of 12 acres and a $2.8 million grant from Dogwood Health Trust, this 16-home development will provide quality, attainable housing for essential workers in our region.
Students in TCCC's Building Construction Technology program have been working together, combining their skills and knowledge to bring this project to life. Their hard work is paying off, with two of the first three homes now dried in and significant progress visible across the site.
This project represents the very best of TCCC. Students are gaining valuable hands-on experience while helping address a critical need in our communities. We could not be prouder of the lasting impact they are making.
Make sure you follow along as this project continues to take shape!
