TCCC Prepares to Welcome New Students for Fall Semester

Samantha Jones welcomes students during New Student Orientation.

Tri-County Community College (TCCC) is preparing for two key events to kick start the 2023 academic year. The institution is set to open fall semester registration and once again host its New Student Orientation program, a tradition for welcoming new students to TCCC.

Registration for the fall semester opens on July 10, with the college offering extended hours until 7pm every Tuesday through August 11. This move aims to cater to adult learners, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for those juggling work and life commitments.

Before the official start of the semester, TCCC will host two New Student Orientation events. The first will take place at the Murphy campus on July 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The second will be held at the Graham County Center on July 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. These sessions offer newcomers a comprehensive overview of life at TCCC. Orientation day promises to be an immersive experience. Students will embark on a guided tour of their respective campuses, acquainting themselves with the infrastructure, resources, and learning environment. The orientation acts as a practical and valuable entry point into the college experience. Students will receive their ID badges, parking permits, and get assistance with FAFSA applications, ensuring they are well-equipped for the academic year.

TCCC continues to prove its dedication to delivering a holistic, supportive, and enjoyable college experience. Whether it's flexible registration hours or a comprehensive orientation program, TCCC goes the extra mile to ensure every student feels welcomed and prepared for the learning journey ahead.
