Welding Open House: A Gateway to Industry Insights

Tri-County Community College (TCCC) and Interstate Welding are excited to invite high school and college students, alongside the general public, to a Welding Open House event at the Interstate Welding facility in Marble, NC, on March 14th from 8 AM to 4 PM. This partnership highlights a unique blend of educational and practical experiences, making it a must-attend for those interested in the welding field.

After a hiatus since 2019, the eagerly awaited event is set to feature representatives from leading industry partners such as Miller Electric, Lincoln Electric, Metabo, Makita, JET Tools, Wilton Tools, Champion Tools, Steelmax Tools, and others, offering attendees a firsthand look at the latest welding and metal working technologies. This interactive setting not only allows for direct conversations with experts but also provides a platform to explore welding as a career, including job prospects and salary expectations.

The Open House aims to inspire both students and the general public by demonstrating the cutting-edge tools and equipment that are shaping the industry's future. Jason Penley, Welding Instructor at TCCC, emphasizes, "It’s a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and to directly understand the relevance of welding in today’s job market."
